Gordon died on Tuesday 5th August 2025 aged 86. Despite being unwell, he made a valiant effort to come to his last meeting with us for the Devon Air Ambulance talk on 16th July.

Gordon joined Teignmouth Probus on 18th June 2003, 22 years a member, having retired as the Area Manager for Nestle Purina Petcare.

Gordon was our compassionate Almoner from 2009 to 2012 gaining his skills being a volunteer for many years with our local GP’s practice Patient Support Group . He was also a leading member of our Probus Bowling team regularly playing against Dawlish Probus Club in days gone by.

Many of you will recall that until recent times, he attended most meetings always sitting on the front row using ‘the loop’ to hear our talks and frequently had a question, observation or point of interest to make.

The funeral arranged by Oliver Knapman Funeral Director, Teignmouth is being held at Torquay Crematorium Tuesday 1st September 2025 at 2:30 pm. Smart casual rather than 'black' requested.

A well respected and active member, Gordon you will be missed rest in peace.
